Project Examples: Editing Audio Using Audacity
Songclip: Students had to create a 25 second clip of a song
Dialogue: Students had to edit audio of an interview to be in the correct order from a "jumbled" audio file.
Musical Audio: Students had to edit audio of a piano piece they had practiced. The file given was not in the order according to their musical score. Students cut and paste each section to create a single track that followed the correct order.
Music and Sound: Students had to edit and combine existing sound clips to create something new. Students had the choice of a sound effect for a creature or object, or the theme of a character or event.
Discussion Points
What separates music from sound? Is it biological? Purely Personal?
